Houston SPCA to offer discounted adoption fees this weekend

The Houston SPCA will offer discounted adoption fees as part of its Father's Day celebration running now through Sunday, June 17.

The adoption fee for all felines and canines, except those in the Spot Peabody Room, will be $20. Approved adopters can take up to two pets. Regular adoption fees for felines and canines range from $65-$150.

Every adoption package, valued at more than $400, includes the following: a health evaluation, initial vaccinations, rabies vaccinations for felines and canines 3 months and older; spay/neuter surgery; deworming; heartworm testing for canines 6 months and older; microchipping with free lifetime registration; a complimentary overall wellness examination from VCA Animal Hospitals; and one free bag of cat/dog food courtesy of Hill's Science Diet.

The Houston SPCA is open from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For information, visit www.houstonspca.org.
