Klein HS grad David Murphy and Rangers rock Astros
Klein High School graduate David Murphy helped spark the Rangers to a 6-2 win over the Astros Friday.
Murphy went 2 for 3, with two RBIs and a walk.
On the season, Murphy is batting .272, seven home runs, and 23 RBIs.
David Matthew Murphy, born Oct. 18, 1981, in Houston, is a Major League Baseball outfielder with the Texas Rangers.
He played high school baseball with fellow Major League Baseball player, Josh Barfield, at Klein High School, and played college baseball at Baylor University. He was drafted in the 2003 Major League Baseball Draft by the Boston Red Sox. In 2007 Murphy was traded to the Texas Rangers.
