Girl Scouts plant rain garden at Houston Arboretum
Employees of Alcoa's Port Lavaca facility helped local Girl Scouts plant a rain garden at the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center on Friday, June 15.
The Alcoa Foundation has awarded a two-year, $1.5 million grant to expand the Girl Scout Forever Green program to reduce waste and conserve energy. The grant will be used to bring GSFG to 20 countries and help families, schools and communities worldwide to improve the environment and protect natural resources.
