Memorial cafe blamed for broken tooth
A Memorial-area cafe is being sued over claims it caused a customer's tooth to break.
Loretta Perrot filed a lawsuit on Monday, June 18 in the Harris County District Court against Landry's, doing business as Rainforest Cafe in Memorial, citing negligence.
Perrot says the salad the defendant served her while she was having dinner with her family on June 19, 2010, at its Memorial location, caused her tooth to break. A piece of porcelain was hidden in the salad, and when she unknowingly bit down on it, her tooth fractured, according to the brief.
The suit alleges Perrot was forced to undergo a root canal because of the incident.
Perrot is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney U. Lawrence Boze.
