Memorial Park features many multi-use trails
The Memorial Park Picnic Loop is a multi-use trail for cyclists, skaters and hikers to enjoy daily exercise during regular park hours.
The trail features picnic facilities and restrooms.
Automobile traffic is allowed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays.
Many ravines and slopes can be found along Buffalo Bayou to provide challenging terrain for mountain bikers. Trails located in the southwest section of Memorial Park are color coded and include maps along the way.
Infantry Woods is an even more challenging trail for advanced bikers, located near the entrance to the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center.
Users of the trail are advised to practice health and safety during recreation. Remember to stay hydrated and to be cautious of other hikers and bikers coming the opposite way along the two-way trail.
Memorial Park is located at 6501 Memorial Drive, west of Downtown and bound by I-10, West Loop 610, Crestwood and Buffalo Bayou.
