Vale-Asche Foundation playground designed for children with disabilities
The Vale-Asche Foundation is reminding Memorial residents about the playground designed for children with disabilities at 6501 Memorial Drive.
Opened in 2006, the playground features Braille instruction signs, a series of ramps and transfer systems and a rubberized ground surface and covered picnic area.
Funding was provided by the Playground Without Limits Fund in cooperation with the city of Houston Mayor’s Office, Houston Parks and Recreation Department, Houston Parks Board and the Houston Association of Realtors.
Parking is available at the Mayor Jim McConn Ball Field.
