Police investigate fatal shooting
Houston Police are investigating the shooting death of 38-year-old Kendrick C. Simpson at his home at 9900 Richmond Ave., which happened early Sunday, June 24, according to a Houston Police press release.
The shooting happened about 4 a.m. Sunday.
Simpson and his roommate, Eric McGauhey, 39, were in their apartment when two unknown black men kicked in their door and shot both of them. The men ran out of the apartment in an unknown direction.
McGauhey, though wounded, knocked on the door of a nearby apartment to get help and was taken to a local hospital, where his condition is unknown, but he is stable.
Simpson died in his apartment.
