Second is to know where the dentist was educated or trained, how often the dentist attends conferences and continuing-education workshops, and how the dentist will approach preventive dentistry. Third is to learn what type of anesthesia the dentist is certified to administer. Fourth, seek out information about all fees and payment options before treatment is scheduled and find out if there is a financing available for out-of-pocket expenses. Lastly, check the condition of the facility, the way the staff takes care of themselves, if the office appears to be clean, neat and orderly, along with the equipment for the treatment, and be sure that the dentist and staff wear gloves and other protective gear during patient treatment.
