Houston Parks and Recreation to offer adult water fitness classes
The Houston Parks and Recreation Department will offer free adult water fitness classes through Oct. 5.
Participants should bring aqua shoes, towels and drinking water.
Adult Circuit Water Fitness combines cardio, strength training and flexibility. Classes are held from 5-5:50 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3018 Dowling St., in Houston and from 7-7:45 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays at 10645 Hammerly Blvd., in Houston.
Adult Hydro-Fit Training involves sports-specific drills, intense cardiovascular work, intervals, core training and plyometrics. Classes are held from 6:30-7:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6402 Arnot St., in Houston, and from 7-7:50 p.m. at 10605 Mullins Drive, in Houston.
Classes are limited to 20 participants, and early registration is available by calling 832-395-7281.
