Second Baptist High School graduate Ross Seaton pitched a great game, as Corpus Christi beat Northwest Arkansas 3-0 Wednesday, July 4.
In eight innings pitched, Seaton stuck out eight while only giving up three hits and no runs to earn the win.
On the season, Seaton has a record of 6-5, with an ERA of 3.61.
Seaton is a 2008 graduate of Second Baptist High School and a third-round selection (109th overall) in the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft by the Houston Astros. He began his professional career in 2008, pitching in three games for Greenville, Houston's rookie team in the Appalachian League. Seaton posted a 13.50 ERA in four innings.
He spent 2010 with Lancaster of the California League (advanced single-A) making 28 starts and logging a 6-13 mark with a 6.64 ERA.
Seaton was born Sept. 18, 1989, in Sugar Land.
