Memorial business named in suit after alleged beating
A Memorial business owner is being sued over claims he failed to protect an employee from an alleged violent attack.
Bara Ma'ekhlayel filed a negligence lawsuit on July 3 in the Harris County District Court against Double Tree Hotels and Enterprise Limousine and Enterprise Valet Services, owned by Samir Kayyali of Memorial.
Ma'ekhlayel says on Dec. 19, 2010, a gang of men beat him with a blunt instrument while he worked as a valet for Enterprise Limousine and Enterprise Valet Services. The attack occurred because the defendants failed to provide adequate security, according to the brief.
