Ahrens sparks Dunedin to shutout win
Kevin James Ahrens went 1-for-3 with an RBI to lead the Dunedin Blue Jays to a 4-0 win against the Jupiter Hammerheads on Thursday, July 11.
Ahrens was a first-round draft pick (16th overall) of the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2007 Major League Baseball draft.
He was named Toronto's third-best prospect in 2008 and the sixth best in 2009, both by Baseball America. Through 2010, he was a career .239 hitter with 21 home runs and 142 RBIs.
