AOKC hires new physicians to staff
Athletics Orthopedics and Knee Center has added two new physicians, Dr. Mark Russell Geyer and Dr. Maxwell Adu-Lartey, to the staff.
"Athletic Orthopedics and Knee Center continues to flourish and grow as patient demand increasingly expands for exceptional orthopedic and sports medicine health care," said Dr. Jack E. Jensen in the press release. "We've evaluated the needs of our patient base and have carefully chosen two highly qualified physicians to further the services our orthopedic practice can provide. As a complete sports medicine center, AOKC currently provides comprehensive orthopedic services, and we consistently produce the highest levels of patient satisfaction. As the founder of AOKC, I am so pleased to welcome our newest physicians, Dr. Geyer and Dr. Adu-Lartey, who will be joining AOKC in August of 2012."
Geyer is a sports medicine specialist who treats injuries of the knee, hip and shoulder. He earned his M.D. with honors from Baylor College of Medicine in 2006. He also trained in the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program at Duke University Medical Center from 2006-2011 and has since been training at the Steadman Clinic Sports Medicine Fellowship in Vail, Colo.
Geyer is both a native to the Spring Branch area and a sports enthusiast. He plays golf, cycles, mountain bikes and skis.

He earned his medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Medicine. He has been awarded a National Medical Fellow in Academic Medicine Award, "Best Personality Award" and "Mind, Body and Spirit Award."

"We will continue to bring on new physicians to meet the needs of our patients in the area of orthopedics. Quality patient care is what we are, and these new physicians represent that quality."
