Memorial High School graduate Kevin Ahrens has two base hits, but Dunedin fell to Fort Myers 5-2 in Minor League Baseball action Sunday, July 15.

Ahrens went 2-for-3 with a walk in the loss.

On the season, Ahrens is batting .250 with four home runs and 36 RBIs.

Ahrens is a 2007 graduate of Memorial High School and was named a first-team high school all-American left fielder as a senior (2007). He was a first-round draft pick (16 th overall) of the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2007 Major League Baseball draft.

He was named the Blue Jays third-best prospect in 2008 and the sixth best in 2009, both by Baseball America. Through 2010, he was a career .239 hitter with 21 home runs and 142 RBIs.

Ahrens was born April 26, 1989, in Houston.
