Houston Police investigate fatal shooting on Hayes
Police continue to investigate after unknown suspects shot and killed a 22-year-old man July 21 at 2201 Hayes.
The victim and his girlfriend were shot after several suspects barged into his apartment at approximately 11:45 a.m., according to a Houston Police Department news release.
The man reportedly died at the scene, but his girlfriend survived the shooting. Medics transported her to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspects, who witnesses describe as black men, fled the scene in a small red four-door car, possibly a Toyota Corolla, according to the release.
