Houston Arboretum and Nature Center announces August summer camp
"Magnificent Mammals" is the theme for the upcoming Nature Trekkers Summer Camp, offered by the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center.
Children ages 5-12 will get to know some of the special mammals that live in Texas. Campers will discover the wonders of fur, test acute mammal sense of smell and see what mammals have that allowed them to survive the great extinction that ended the age of dinosaurs.
The all-day camp runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 6-10 at the nature center, 4501 Woodway Drive, Houston. There is also a morning-only option that runs from 9 a.m. to noon each day of the camp.
The cost is $265 per child for members or $325 per child for non-members for the all-day camp. The half-day option is $140 per child for members and $180 per child for non-members.
