Children's hair salon opens in Memorial area of Houston
Snip-its is a new children's hair salon that recently opened at 12512 Memorial Drive in the Memorial area of Houston.
A hair salon exclusively for children has opened in the Memorial area of Houston, according to a news release.
Owned by Alane and Wesley Middleton, the Snip-its salon will be the Houston metro area’s seventh children's salon. It is located at 12512 Memorial Drive, the release states.
The salon interior features child-friendly décor such as a cast of Snip-its animated cartoon characters, animated videos, salon-tailored educational computer games and parents chairs for convenient waiting, according to the release.
Launched in 1995 by Joanna Meiseles, the Snip-its chain has since grown to more than 60 locations in 26 states. The Houston location will be the 11th franchise in Texas, according to the release.
Snip-its was originally headquartered in Natick, Mass. In 2010, it relocated its headquarters to Eden Prairie, Minn. The five original Massachusetts locations have been joined by seven more locations for a total of 12 in Massachusetts and nearly 20 locations in New England, according to the release.
