Topics to be covered include hands-on plant identification, responsible harvesting techniques, preparation of foods, dangerous mimics, poisonous plants and edible landscaping.
The cost is $40 for Nature Center members and $50 for nonmembers. A minimum course registration of 12 is required to hold the class. The course is subject to cancellation if there are fewer than 12 registrants at least two weeks in advance of the course.
Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and take water, snacks and bug repellent. A pen or pencil and a camera are recommended, and a plant guide sheet will be supplied.
