Memorial City Mall named in slip-and-fall suit
A Harris County woman is suing over claims a Memorial-area mall failed to provide her with a safe shopping experience.
Vanessa Oseguera filed a lawsuit July 27 in the Harris County District Court against Memorial City Mall, citing negligence.
Oseguera says May 24, 2011, she slipped and fell in a liquid substance while shopping at Memorial City Mall, located at 303 Memorial City Way. The suit alleges she could have avoided injury if the defendant would have cleaned up the liquid or warned shoppers of the potential danger.
Oseguera is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Mehran Talabi.
This is a report on a civil lawsuit filed at the Harris County Courthouse under case No. 2012-43136. The details in this report come from an original complaint filed by a plaintiff. Please note, a complaint represents an accusation by a private individual, not the government. It is not an indication of guilt, and it only represents one side of the story.
