Houston Sports Club to hold fall flag football

Registration is open for Houston Sports and Social Club's co-ed flag football season.

Fall I Season games are played on Tuesday nights with the season starting Tuesday, Sept. 18. Fall II Season games are played on Wednesday nights with the season starting Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Games will be played from 6:30-9:15 p.m. at Freed Park, 7020 Shadyville Lane, Houston.

Formats for playoffs differ between the leagues.

A discount is applied for early registration. For early registrants, the cost is $48 for individuals and $480 for teams of up to 12 people. Otherwise, players who want to be placed on a team must pay $55 to participate and teams of up to 12 players must pay $540 with an additional $45 for each extra player. Team signups require $150 down with the remainder due about a week before the season starts.

Fees include a T-shirt for each member, equipment and specials at the club's after-game happy hours.

Priority for teams is given to those with female players due to the large amount of male players.
