HEB Operation Medicine Cabinet
The Partnership for a Drug-Free Spring Branch and the Harris County Constable's Office have started the "Operation Medicine Cabinet" campaign.
Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, people can bring in their unused prescription drugs for safe disposal at the HEB Bunker Hill Market, located at 9710 Katy Freeway in Houston.
According to the Spring Branch district, the goal of the campaign is to forge developing partnerships with local retailers like HEB, law enforcement and other community sectors in order to educate the community about safe storage and disposal of prescription and over-the-counter medications, hold local medication take-back events, and establish permanent drop-off sites to encourage residents to bring unused and expired medicines for proper disposal.
