'Horses and Hats' charity polo match to benefit Snowdrop Foundation
The Houston Polo Club will host a charity polo match to benefit the Snowdrop Foundation on Sunday, Sept. 9. The Horses and Hats Charity Polo Match offers a series of events, including a meet-and-greet session with International polo player Ameer Jumabhoy, beer and wine servings and a silent auction with signed items from Blake Shelton and Kevin Costner. Local restaurants will serve hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. This inaugural event will support the Snowdrop Foundation, an organization that aims to raise academic scholarship funds for young cancer survivors and patients. It was started in 2006 by local radio personality Kevin Kline to support the Texas Children's Cancer Center. General admission tickets are $20, with 50 percent of the proceeds donated to the Snowdrop Foundation. VIP tickets are also available for $130, with 100 percent of proceeds going to the foundation. The benefit will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9 at the Houston Polo Club, 8552 Memorial Drive in Houston. For more information and tickets, visit www.snowdropfoundation.org.
