YMCA hosts health and wellness clinic

The Trotter Family YMCA will hold a health and wellness clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12.

The clinic is open to the public and will feature complimentary screenings and guest speakers.

Screenings during the clinic include blood pressure and cholesterol screenings for those who wish to have them.

According to the YMCA's website, its main focus is on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. It offers a variety of exercise classes, aquatics programs and camps for children. Family classes, as well as individual classes, are also available. The YMCA strives to nurture children and adults, improve the area's well being and provides opportunities to give back and support the community.

The YMCA offers childcare to children of all ages, including before and after school childcare.

Trotter Family YMCA is located at 1331 Augusta Drive, in Houston.
