Houston Sports and Social Club offers adult coed flag football
The Houston Sports and Social Club will host a coed flag football program in the fall.
Two separate seasons are available for play. The first starts Tuesday, Sept. 18; the second begins Wednesday, Oct. 10. Games will be played from 6:30-9:15 p.m. at Freed Park, 7020 Shadyvilla Lane. Matches are played on Tuesdays during the first season and on Wednesdays for the second season.
Each team is guaranteed seven games, with different league playoff formats for postseason play. Eight players will be on the field at a time and three must be women. Every third play from the offense must involve a woman.
Team and individual registration is available online at houstonsscfootball.leaguetoolbox.com/registration. The regular registration cost is $55 for individuals and $540 for a 12-person team, plus $45 for additional players. The fee includes a T-shirt, officials, equipment and postgame happy hour specials. Friends wanting to play on the same team, without enough players for their own full team, should indicate this preference at registration.
