Memorial Target blamed for shopper's injuries
A Houston woman is suing over claims Target failed to offer customers a safe shopping environment at its Memorial location. Mary Kite filed a lawsuit on Aug. 20 in Harris County District Court against the Target Corporation, citing negligence. Kite says on Sept. 27, 2010, she suffered injuries while shopping at Target, located at 8605 Westheimer in Memorial. According to the brief, the injuries occurred when an improperly secured door slammed into her. Kite is seeking $74,000 in damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Adam Criaco. Harris County District Court Case No. 2012-47636. This is a report on a civil lawsuit filed at the Harris County Courthouse.
