New location open in Katy for Alicia's Mexican Grille

Alicia's Mexican Grille has opened a new location in Katy. Located at 25725 Katy Freeway, the new Alicia's Mexican Grille offers the same quality authentic Mexican food as the rest of the restaurant's locations.

"Having a background in opening restaurants and bars, I know better than to show up during at least the first six weeks after opening," Lisa Boutwell said. "I have frequented Alicia's and D*ario's in Cypress many times since I worked in the same shopping center. Always a great experience, but still I didn't chance it with the Katy location. I drove by on my way home from work every day with my mouth watering for their delicious fajitas for months during the construction process and six or more weeks after opening. Before I went to the restaurant on a Saturday night at 8:30, I called to see how long the wait was. To my amazement there wasn't one so we decided to go, even after reading the reviews posted here that affirmed my reasoning for not going sooner. Boy, am I glad that didn't deter me because our experience that night was AWESOME!

"We were seated right away, seconds later a waitress took our drink order, and right behind her was someone else ready to place our water, chips and salsas on the table. Our drinks came out within just a few minutes, and I ordered a Sangria Rita. At the time they didn't have a drink menu, but the waitress asked if I wanted it frozen or on the rocks. I've never been offered one on the rocks so that's what I chose. It was the best Sangria Rita ever, and I would recommend trying it. Our food waiter was fantastic with a great attitude and smile. The Beef Fajitas were so tender and juicy and cooked just right. Our whole experience that night was exceptional. All I can say is this ... if you went in the beginning and weren't happy, give them another try. I will definitely be back."
