Happy Cat Month set for weekend
Happy Cat Month, which will allow the public to adopt cats with only token payment, will be hosted by the Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, through the weekend of Sept. 14 in Houston.
The event highlights the reduction of adoption fee for cats to only $5, with a limit of two adoptions per household. The Houston SPCA says normal adoption fees run as much as $400.
The event is free and open to the public.
