Houston Independent School District to offer community forums on bond issue
The Houston Independent School District will be hosting a series of 10 community conversations starting Monday, Sept. 24.
The sessions aim to inform voters about the bond proposition on this year's election ballot, according to a press release from the school district.
The forums will take place from 6-8 p.m. at locations across the district: Washington High School and Bellaire High School on Monday, Sept. 24; Davis High School and Dowling Middle School on Thursday, Sept. 27; Lee High School and Milby High School on Monday, Oct. 1; Sharpstown High School and Yates High School on Tuesday, Oct. 2; and Austin High School and Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center on Thursday, Oct. 4.
Each session will provide attendees with an overview of what the bond is, why it is needed and how it will affect campuses, the release said.
The Houston Independent School District is at 4400 W. 18th St. in Houston.
