Great American Cookies makes giant cookie to benefit Leukemia Lymphoma Society
The Great American Cookies location in Memorial City Mall is making a gigantic cookie cake to benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
At 64 inches by 144 inches — about 5.5 feet by 12 feet — the cookie company says it is certain to be one of the biggest cookies most people have ever seen, and customers can grab a slice in exchange for a donation.
There will also be two walks this year to help raise funds. The first will be held on Sunday, Oct. 1 at the Woodlands Town Center; the second will be on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Discovery Green downtown.
The franchise is looking to raise $100,000 in donations to fight blood cancers, and the Memorial City Mall location has already raised $4,200 of its $5,600 goal.
To get a slice of the giant cookie and donate to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, visit the Great American Cookies location inside Memorial City Mall near the new American Girl store.
