Houston Junior Woman's Club to hold preview party, fundraiser
The Houston Junior Woman's Club will hold a preview party from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Elizabeth Anthony/Esther Wolf in Uptown Park to celebrate its 29th annual Holiday Happening fundraising luncheon and style show.
Guests will enjoy wine and appetizers while models display the new fall fashion. There will also be a trunk show by Escada, and all guests will get a 10 percent discount on any items purchased during the event, with a portion of proceeds benefitting the Houston Junior Woman's Club Charitable Fund.
Holiday Happening 2012, "For Love of a Child," will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 29 at The Westin Houston, Memorial City and will honor Bonnie Campbell, director of the Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens.
The event will feature a combination of live auction, big board and silent auction offerings, along with holiday gift baskets and a country store that will feature an array of homemade gift items.
Funds raised through the HJWC Charitable Fund will benefit Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Texas Children's Cancer Center at Texas Children's Hospital, Houston's Ronald McDonald House and other local children's charities.
The Holiday Happening Preview Party is free and open to the public. No reservations are necessary.
