Westbury Christian grad Okde plays in Louisiana-Lafayette loss
Westbury Christian High graduate Sylvanna Okde contributed 20 points in University of Louisiana at Lafayette's 79-67 loss to University of Nebraska at Omaha Friday, Nov. 16 at Sapp Fieldhouse in Omaha, Neb., according to her school's website.
The freshman guard also recorded three rebounds, five assists and a steal for the Ragin Cajuns, who are 2-1 on the season.
Louisiana-Lafayette's next game is 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19 on the road against Nichols State.
Okde is a 2012 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston, where she was named first team All-District in her senior, junior and sophomore seasons. Okde was selected as the district MVP as a senior, and named second team All-District in her freshman year. Okde is from Houston and is the daughter of Tony and Ann Okde.
