BP America executive to give keynote address at chamber economic summit
The Houston West Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Economic Development Summit and Star Awards Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013.
Felipe Bayon, head of special projects for BP America, will be the keynote speaker and will discuss the lessons BP learned from the Deepwater Horizon incident in 2010. Bayon He has 20 years of business leadership experience in the oil and gas industry.
The chamber will also give out the Star Award to local businesses, nonprofits and government agencies that have made significant contributions to the local community. Each year the chamber receives more than 200 nominations.
Local media personality Kim Davis will emcee the event, taking place at the Omni Houston Hotel Westside, 13210 Katy Freeway, Houston.
