Westside grad Luton contributes to Nicholls State University victory
Erin Luton, a Westside High School graduate, is a sophomore forward for the Nicholls State University women's basketball team.
Westside High School graduate Erin Luton played for Nicholls State University in a 71-62 win at home against the University of Louisiana at Lafayette on Nov. 19 at Stopher Gym in Thibodaux, La.
The Nicholls State University sophomore forward grabbed one rebound for the Colonels, who improved to 4-1 on the season, according to Nicholls State University's website.
Nicholls State University's next game is at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 on the road against the University of New Orleans.
LutonĀ is a 2011 graduate of Westside High School in Houston, where she was named all-district as a sophomore, junior and senior. Luton was selected to play in the Greater Area Houston Girls' Basketball All-Star Game, and made all-district academic team. The daughter of John and Julie Luton, she is studying mass communications and broadcast journalism at Nicholls State.
