Houston Chapter of ASIS to hold 55th anniversary celebration
The Houston Chapter of the American Society of Industrial Security International is planning to celebrate its 55th anniversary and the holidays with a luncheon Wednesday, Dec. 12.
The occasion will also be used to recognize all the former chairmen of the chapter and show appreciation for their dedication, leadership and volunteerism, according to a society press release.
The Chapter Chairman Plaque will be unveiled at the event. It lists all chairmen from 1957 to the present and will be placed on the walls of the Hess Club.
Geoff Craighead, ASIS International president, will be the event's guest speaker. The event will include the installation of new officers, a presentation on the chapter's history, the awarding of scholarships to Sam Houston State University, the University of Houston-Downtown and Lone Star College, a donation to Sgt. John Wall of the Houston Police Department and the recognition of chapter committee chairs.
The event will be at the Hess Club, 5430 Westheimer Road, Houston. It will begin at 11:30 a.m.
