Westbury Christian grad Okde plays in Louisiana loss
Westbury Christian High School graduate Sylvana Okde scored four points but her University of Louisiana at Lafayette team dropped a 72-45 home loss to Middle Tennessee State Saturday, Nov. 24 at Earl K. Long Gym in Lafayette, according to the team website.
Okde also recorded eight rebounds, one assist and a steal for Louisiana-Lafayette, who are 2-3 on the season.
Okde is a freshman guard for the Louisianae. She is a 2012 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston, where she was named first team All-District in her senior, junior and sophomore seasons. Okde was selected as the district MVP as a senior, and named second team All-District in her freshman year. Okde is from Houston and is the daughter of Tony and Ann Okde.
