Memorial Hermann Hospitals rank among best in the nation
Memorial Hermann Hospitals recently ranked among the best in the nation in Healthgrades' American Hospital Quality Outcomes 2013 report.
According to a hospital press release, the report evaluated the performances of a variety of procedures and conditions at approximately 4,500 hospitals across the nation.
Top hospitals of the Memorial Hermann Health System included Memorial Hermann Northwest, Memorial Hermann Southeast, Memorial Hermann Southwest and Memorial Hermann The Woodlands, in addition to the Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center and Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center.
According to the report, Memorial Hermann Hospitals have ranked among the top 5 percent in the nation for overall GI services and general surgery for the past seven years. They have also ranked among the top 10 percent in the nation for the treatment of stroke for the past 11 years, overall pulmonary services for the past nine years, GI medical treatment and critical care for the past five years, neurosciences for the past two years and overall orthopedic services for the past year.
Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center has ranked among the top 5 percent in the nation for stroke care for the past eight years, overall GI services for the past five years, general surgery for the past four years and neurosciences and neurosurgery for the past two years. The center had also ranked among the top 10 percent in the nation for critical care for the past two years.
Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center has ranked among the top 5 percent in the nation for neurosurgery for the past two years and top 10 percent in the nation for the treatment of stroke for the past five years, neurosciences for the past two years and critical care for the past year.
