Tutti Frutti proud to be a green company
Tutti Frutti, an international brand of frozen yogurt with multiple locations throughout the Houston area, has partnered with Nutrition & Education International (NEI) for the Real Green Project.
The Real Green Project is based on Tutti Frutti's new product, soy bean frozen yogurt. The project aims to maximize the use of soybean seeds and develop soybean products together with local farmers to help families in Afghanistan get enough protein. To help put an end to the adversity faced by Afghani families, Tutti Frutti has pledged to donate 10 percent of its profits from soybean frozen yogurt to NEI.
"Malnutrition is the main contributing factor for the high maternal and infant mortality rates in (Afghanistan)," NEI's 2011 activities summary said. "Coincidentally, as malnutrition is synonymous with protein deficiency, it can be alleviated through protein-rich foods. Soybeans contain (nine) essential amino acids for human development, and since it is relatively cheap to produce, it is an ideal crop to cultivate. In 2003, NEI introduced soybeans, a food source previously unknown to Afghanistan, as a practical remedy to malnutrition among women and children in impoverished areas."
Tutti Frutti's soybean frozen yogurt is not only healthy, but it is also nondairy, which means it is low in fat, gluten-free, not genetically modified and vegan-friendly without sacrificing taste.
Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt promises to satisfy its customers around the world with premium-quality frozen yogurt that not only tastes good but is also good for the health. Yogurt has a lot of benefits, which include immune-system strengthening; relief of constipation, diarrhea and bloating; colon cancer prevention; cholesterol and blood-pressure control; immune-function improvement; inflammation reduction; and harmful bacterial growth prevention.
