Becker sisters perform with Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre

Mollie Becker, a student from Duchesne Academy, and her sister Graceanne Becker recently performed with the Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre company.

The students danced to a vignette from The Nutcracker Suite at the BAHBT Sugar Plum Fairy Breakfast held Saturday, Nov. 24.

The breakfast raised money for the scholarship fund of the ballet company, which sends eight dance students to New York City each summer after a qualifying competition.

Mollie Becker was recently admitted to the Corps de Ballet of the BAHBT company and has been rehearsing for multiple roles in the second act of the Nutcracker for performances at the University of Houston at Clear Lake. She will be dancing in the Chinese segment, dancing with the Corps de Ballet in the Land of Snow and in the Waltz of the Flowers.

Both Mollie and Graceanne will be dancing with the Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre Company at the Lee College campus in Baytown.

The Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre company is an outgrowth of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Clear Lake.
