Memorial women unite for Hadassah Women of Courage Event
Memorial residents Ann Baker Ronn and Gold Baker with Oak Forest resident Marcie Baker-Turrin, luncheon co-chairs of the Hadassah Women of Courage Event to be held Sunday, Feb. 10.
The ninth annual Hadassah's Women of Courage Awards event will be held Sunday, Feb. 10 at the Bayou City Event Center.
According to a press release, the event recognizes extraordinary women who have focused on important issues and have made in a difference in the lives of others. Honorees will include Debbie Levine, Women of Courage founder; Marcie Natan, Hadassah's national president; and Elizabeth Smart, abduction survivor and child advocate. Smart will also be the keynote speaker at the event.
A silent auction, co-chaired by Memorial resident Melissa Horn and Meyerland resident Julie Handel, will be held at 10:30 a.m. followed by the luncheon, co-chaired by Memorial residents Golda Baker and Ann Baker Ronn and Oak Forest resident Marcie Baker Turrin, at noon.
The cost to attend the event is $118 per ticket. Registration is available online at www.houston.hadassah.org.
