Houston Memorial grad Staff scores 10 points in Texas State University loss
Houston Memorial High School graduate Matt Staff scored 10 points in Texas State University's 74-68 loss to Northwestern University on Monday, Dec. 17, according to Texas State University's website.
The senior forward also recorded nine rebounds, five assists, one steal and three blocks for the Bobcats, who are 4-7 on the season.
Texas State University's next game is 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 on the road against Central Michigan University.
Staff played at Memorial High School from 2005 to 2009 for coach Dave Lay. He carried a 3.75 GPA and was ranked in the top 10 by RCSSports.com for the Houston area and in the top 20 in Texas by TexasHoops.com.
