Westbury Christian grad Okde plays in University of Louisiana at Lafayette loss

Westbury Christian High School graduate Sylvana Okde contributed 14 points in the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's 55-37 home loss to the University of California-Riverside on Monday, Dec. 17 at Earl K. Long Gym in Lafayette, La.

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette freshman guard also recorded two rebounds and a steal for the Ragin Cajuns, who are 5-5 on the season, according to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's website.

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette's next game is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 on the road against Tulane University.

Okde is a 2012 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston, where she was named first team All-District in her senior, junior and sophomore seasons. Okde was selected as the district MVP as a senior, and named second team All-District in her freshman year. Okde is from Houston and is the daughter of Tony and Ann Okde.
