Alliance of Community Assistance Ministries honored as top-rated nonprofit
The Alliance of Community Assistance Ministries Inc. (ACAM) recently received the 2012 Top-Rated Award from GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.
"We are excited to be named a top-rated nonprofit," said Sharon Zachary, ACAM CEO, in a press release. "Through our core programs, ACAM provides capacity building, outreach, advocacy, networking, training and collaborative initiatives to member community assistance ministries."
ACAM serves more than 270,000 people in crisis in the region, helping them on a path to self-sufficiency.
The award was given based on the number of positive reviews ACAM received, such as reviews from volunteers, donors and clients.
"We are gratified by ACAM for its work," said Perla Ni, GreatNonprofits' CEO, in the release. "They deserve to be discovered by more donors and volunteers who are looking for a great nonprofit to support."
