Westside grad Luton plays in Nicholls State loss to Arkansas State
Erin Luton, a Westside High School graduate, is a sophomore forward for the Nicholls State University women's basketball team.
Westside High School graduate Erin Luton played for Nicholls State University in a 66-58 loss against Arkansas State University on Wednesday, Dec. 19 at the Convocation Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
The sophomore forward and the Colonels are 7-3 on the season, according to Nicholls State University's website.
Nicholls State University's next game is at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 on the road against Texas Southern University.
LutonĀ is a 2011 graduate of Westside High School in Houston, where she was named all-district as a sophomore, junior and senior. Luton was selected to play in the Greater Area Houston Girls' Basketball All-Star Game and made the all-district academic team. The daughter of John and Julie Luton of Houston, she is studying mass communications and broadcast journalism at Nicholls State.
