Kelsey Seybold offering new hypertension diagnostic test

Kelsey-Seybold is offering patients an improved hypertension diagnosis and management program.

Kelsey-Seybold's 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring test is a new method to test for hypertension and assess control of hypertension in patients who are known to have it.

"By implementing this service as an add-on to our standard of care, we hope to help those patients who might slip through the cracks," Dr. Victor Simms, internal medicine at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, said in a press release.

Patients are given a small, blood pressure monitor that is worn on their belt. A record of the patient's blood pressure is kept for 24 hours after which they return to their doctor to read the results.

For more information on the new test, contact the Kelsey-Seybold clinic at 713-442-0000 or visit www.kelsey-seybold.com.
