Westbury Christian grad Okde plays in Louisiana at Lafayette loss to Arkansas State
Sylvanna Okde, a graduate of Westbury Christian High School, is a freshman guard for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette women's basketball team.
Westbury Christian High School graduate Sylvana Okde contributed two points in Louisiana at Lafayette's 77-53 loss to conference rival Arkansas State on Saturday, Dec. 22 in Jonesboro, Ark., Louisiana at Lafayette's website reported.
The Louisiana at Lafayette freshman guard also recorded three rebounds and an assist for the Ragin' Cajuns, who are 6-6 on the season.
Louisiana at Lafayette's next game is at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 against the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Okde is a freshman guard for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is a 2012 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston, where she was named first team All-District in her senior, junior and sophomore seasons. Okde was selected as the district MVP as a senior and named second team All-District in her freshman year. Okde is from Houston and is the daughter of Tony and Ann Okde.
