Tahirih Justice Center receives Texas Bar grant
The Texas Bar Foundation awarded a grant Friday, Dec. 7, to the Tahirih Justice Center, which helps immigrant women in need of legal services.
A press release by the Center said, "This grant will enable Tahirih to provide life-saving legal services and advocacy to help courageous immigrant women and girls in Texas access justice."
"We are ecstatic to continue our partnership with The Texas Bar Foundation," said Anne Chandler, Tahirih Justice Center's Houston director. "The Foundation’s support will go a long way in helping us ensure that immigrant women and girl survivors of violence have access to the resources they need to rebuild their lives and to live in safety and dignity."
