The Stoller Foundation begins operations in Houston
The Stoller Foundation, a Christian grantmaking entity with a focus on transforming lives and communities through philanthropy, has started operating in Houston.
The foundation is a conduit for support to organizations that are not dependent on the government, according to a foundation press release.
"We hope to inspire and empower individuals who want a deeper connection with our fellow man and to fulfill an obligation they have to the society in which we live," said Jerry Stoller, the founder and chairman of the foundation, in the release. "The vision of the foundation is to carry Christ's messages to people throughout the world and support opportunities for everyday philanthropists to become active in service to God."
The Stoller Foundation was founded on principles created by Stoller's 40 years of research maximizing plant potential to increase crop yields and agricultural production around the world. He has brought that same passion to his work at the foundation.
"We make it easy for people to share our vision by volunteering their time, lending their talents and donating their treasures to community-based programming, where they can witness the difference their contributions make in the lives of children and families."
The Stoller Foundation focuses on awarding grants to volunteer-rich organizations to help support activities that will bring people closer to Christ.
The funding priorities include programs featuring Christ-centric learning and programs that help families thrive in communities all over the world.
The Stoller Foundation is at 9600 Long Point, Suite 201, Houston.
