Westbury Christian grad Ellis helps in Iowa State victory
Westbury Christian High School graduate Fallon Ellis scored five points as Iowa State won 73-65 at home over conference rival Texas Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, the Iowa State website reported.
Ellis also recorded two rebounds for the Cyclones, who improved to 10-1 on the season and 1-0 in the Big 12. Iowa State's next game is at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at Texas Tech.
Ellis is a sophomore forward and guard for Iowa State University. She is a 2010 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston, where she was four-time letter winner for the Wildcats. Ellis earned all-state honors from the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches and TAPPS, was a 2011 McDonald's All-American game nominee, and also earned all-state honors as a junior. Ellis is from Missouri City and is the daughter of Sonya Watkins Ellis.
