Registration open for HUTA Officials School
Registration is under way for the Houston Tennis Umpires Association Officials School at the United States Professional Tennis Association building.
According to a press release, "The USTA test for officials with more than three years of experience will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, from 8:30 a.m.-noon. The Referee School will be held from 12:30-2:30 p.m., and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Collegiate School training is from 3-5 p.m. Potential officials and those with less than three years of experience will meet on Sunday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m."
Cost for the school is $10 plus $20 for HTUA dues. Lunch is included on both days.
Those registering for the first time should contact Nancy Vivero at nancymv243@aol.com or 713-205-1568 before Sunday, Jan. 20 to take a test.
The United States Professional Tennis Association building is located at 3535 Briarpark Drive, Houston.
