Westbury Christian grad Orrange helps in Stanford victory
Westbury Christian High School graduate Amber Orrange scored 13 points as Stanford won 57-40 over conference rival Colorado Friday, Jan. 4, at Coors Events Center in Boulder, the Stanford website reported.
Orrange also recorded five rebounds, six assists and two steals for the Cardinals, who improved to 12-1 on the season and 1-0 in the Pac-12.
Stanford's next game is 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6 at University of Utah.
Orrange is a sophomore guard for Stanford University. She is a 2011 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston where she was named to the Parade High School All-America Team in 2011. Orrange was also a 2011 MaxPreps All-American, 2011 McDonald's High School All-American, 2011 MaxPreps All-American. She was also named an All-Greater Houston Player of the Year and to the All-Greater Houston First Team by the Houston Chronicle in 2011. Orrange is from Houston and is the daughter of James and Elexa Orrange.
